Covidshield price to start from Rs 150/- per dose


It has become difficult for the center to pay for an endless amount of vaccines to the vast population of India and so after being announced to prevail the vaccine from May-1 it has been decided by the Serum Institue of Pune to leverage some amount of the covid vaccines. According to the growth and increasing cases of covid, it is stated that there should be some amount put up to pay to the center.


As per the increasing covid vaccination drive, it has been liberated to put up the affordable amount in the covid shield named “liberalized and accelerated phase-3”. It is also decided that the vaccination drive of sending to states will increase in a way that it should be fulfilled with the population of the particular state. the vaccination distribution drive will be increased as a shortage of doses was taken into a recommendation from April.

It is clarified that the Govt of India’s procurement price for both #COVID19 vaccines remains Rs 150 per dose. GOI procured doses will continue to be provided FREE to States.
